An all-ACC Final Four is down to a pair of intrastate rivals facing off for the 2024 NCAA women's soccer championship.
North Carolina and Wake Forest have plenty of familiarity with each other on the field, but their postseason pedigrees are in stark contrast. While the Demon Deacons are in the championship match for the first time, the Tar Heels are the most decorated program in the sport's history, with a record 21 NCAA titles dating back to victories in the first three tournaments in the early 1980s.
Despite the program's remarkable track record, though, UNC hasn't brought the trophy back to Chapel Hill since 2012, losing in the NCAA Final three times since then.
The Tar Heels (21-5-0) look primed to return to the top of the mountain after dominating arch-nemesis Duke 3-0 in the semifinals, but Wake (15-3-4) has proven resilient throughout the tournament, knocking off No. 1 seed USC on penalties in the quarterfinals and edging Stanford 1-0 in the semis.
Who will take home the title in 2024? Here's how to watch all the action between North Carolina and Wake Forest.
