Josh Allen NFL playoff prop bets & Super Bowl MVP odds
None

Buffalo's Josh Allen remains the betting favorite to win the NFL MVP award for his dynamic play during the regular season. With DraftKings dealing Allen at -450, he'll almost certainly receive that trophy on Feb. 6.

The only other player with a chance to win the award is Lamar Jackson (+320). We examined the best ways to wager of Jackson during the NFL Playoffs earlier, as the reigning NFL MVP chases after his first Super Bowl appearance.

Let's take a look at the best Josh Allen prop bets and Super Bowl MVP odds for the 2025 NFL Playoffs. Before we get to odds and analysis, check out these offers from the best online sportsbooks.

Super Bowl 59 MVP odds: Making the case for Josh Allen

Like Jackson, Allen has yet to appear in a Super Bowl. His career playoff record is 5-5, and that includes a loss to the Chiefs in the 2021 AFC Championship.

Buffalo opens the NFL Playoffs with a home game against Denver on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Weather could impact this tilt, according to our colleague Mo Nuwwarah of The Lines.

"Buffalo has a 30% chance of snow and winds around nine mph," Mo writes. "If that forecast holds, things should be reasonably clear, explaining the higher total (47.5). However, keep an eye on this game because the days on either side of Sunday feature double-digit wind speeds and a 50% chance of snow.

"Buffalo also has the infamous lake effect to watch for, so things could change quickly for the worse."

Allen, who played his college ball in Wyoming, accounted for three touchdowns (two passing TDs, one on the ground) in a snowy 35-10 win over the 49ers at Highmark Stadium back on Dec. 1.

The Bills are a healthy 9-point favorite over the Broncos on top-rated sportsbook apps. It's difficult to envision a scenario where Denver rookie QB Bo Nix wins his first-ever playoff game on the road against Allen and a Buffalo team with more postseason experience.

Expect Buffalo to advance and host Baltimore -- a 9.5-point favorite over Pittsburgh on Saturday -- in the divisional round. The challenge for Allen or Jackson is winning a potential AFC Championship at Kansas City the following week.

Allen is 4-4 in head-to-head matchups against Patrick Mahomes after the Bills beat the Chiefs 31-20 on Nov. 18. Notably, though, Mahomes has won all three games in the playoffs.

In what other NFL playoff betting markets can I wager on Josh Allen?

Allen can be found at the top of this betting market at DraftKings.

Most passing yards in NFL Playoffs

There are eight quarterbacks competing in the playoffs who threw for more yards than Allen during the regular season. Allen did not play in the season finale against New England and finished with 3,731 yards.

Detroit's Jared Goff (4,629) led all playoff QBs in the regular season. With the top-seeded Lions playing at home in the dome throughout the playoffs -- and potentially Caesars Superdome in Super Bowl 59 -- Goff is a better bet than Allen in our estimation. Detroit leads the NFL in scoring with 33.2 points per game.

Allen might have to deal with harsh elements including snow and wind in two home games before a potential visit to Arrowhead Stadium for the AFC Championship. If the Bills advance that far, he'd finally enjoy a respite by playing in a dome for the Super Bowl.

Most passing TDs in NFL Playoffs

Allen is also among the betting favorites to throw the most passing TDs of any quarterback.

He had 28 touchdown passes in 16 starts during the regular season. There are five playoff QBs who had more entering the 2025 NFL Playoffs.

  • Lamar Jackson (41)
  • Baker Mayfield (41)
  • Jared Goff (37)
  • Sam Darnold (35)
  • Bo Nix (28)

With Stefon Diggs gone to Houston, Allen doesn't have a true No. 1 WR. Khalil Shakir led the Bills in receiving yards (821), but reserve WR Mack Hollins actually led the team with five TD catches. Shakir and rookie WR Keon Coleman tied for second with four.

Frankly, there are just better options in this betting market than Allen. We'd rather invest on the dome-protected Goff again here.

Josh Allen props vs. Broncos in NFL wild card game

Allen faces a tough Denver defense in Sunday's playoff opener, but he has a chance to shine on the ground.

Allen trailed only RB1 James Cook in rushing yards for the Bills this season. He scampered for 531 rushing yards and 12 TDs. We're focusing on these betting markets to take advantage of that.

Allen ATTD scorer

Allen has found the end zone in six of his last eight games. When Denver pressures him in the pocket, and we expect it to do so frequently, Allen will become dangerous. He scored multiple TDs on the ground three times this season, too.

Allen longest rush OVER 13.5 yards

Allen's longest run of the season is 30 yards (against the Rams), and he's eclipsed this number six times. FanDuel is offering -113 odds on Allen going OVER 43.5 rushing yards for the game, which is also worth a small toss.
