NFL Draft week is officially upon us, and to kick off the festivities, we're doing a little reflecting on Denzel Washington's classic film "Remember the Titans."
Released in 2000, Washington portrays coach Herman Boone a coach tasked with coaching a team of all-white players after previously being assigned to the city's black high school football squad. Set in the year 1971, racial tensions are still high following the Civil Rights Movement, and Boone initially refuses the position, believing it is unfair to Yoast, a successful coach who is nominated to the Virginia High School Hall of Fame.
Eventually, Boone accepts the job, and proceeds to lead the team on an emotional journey full of highs and lows that will have you tearing up in the process. At the time of its release, "Remember the Titans" grossed $136.8 million on a $30 million budget, and in the 25 years since, the film has gone on to be received as a cult classic.
In honor of both the NFL Draft and the 25th year of this amazing movie, we're taking a look at ten memorable quotes that we can all take with us within our lives.
