Derek Carr may not be playing for the New Orleans Saints this Sunday, but he's doing all he can to help backup Jake Haener -- both on and off the field.
Carr, who is sidelined with a hand injury, gave Haener 10 suite tickets so that his family can watch his first career NFL start.

Carr has always been known as a class act of a teammate and friend, and this gesture is right on-brand. For Haener, Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders will be a special moment and one that will mean a lot to have his close ones in attendance.
Haener, a second-year fifth-round pick from Fresno State, has previously appeared in seven games this season and thrown passes in four. For his NFL career, he's 14-for-29 for 177 yards and a touchdown.
Despite his inexperience, Haener is taking a confident approach into Sunday's matchup by claiming he will "let it rip" with a chance to upset the playoff-hopeful Commanders. The Saints have won three of their last four games under interim head coach Darren Rizzi, and sit at 5-8 on the season.
Perhaps having some extra family members in the building to support him will provide the motivation Haener needs in order to make good on his bold proclamation.
