Old Deion Sanders tweet reveals his potential thoughts on Browns drafting Shedeur image

Deion Sanders has a willingness to speak his mind.

Sometimes it works out for him and sometimes it backfires.

After his son, QB Shedeur Sanders, was selected in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns, an old tweet resurfaced from Coach Prime that showed his thoughts about the pick.

"I love what the @Browns have done this offseason but if im a young QB ain't no way im going to Cleveland. I would pull a ELI MANNING If possible. #ThinkAboutthat #Truth," Sanders wrote in March of 2018.

This was leading up to the 2018 draft where the Browns owned the first overall pick and were in need of a quarterback. Spoiler alert, Cleveland did draft a quarterback, Baker Mayfield, with the first overall pick.

It was a little different this time around with Cleveland taking Shedeur in the fifth round after taking Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel in the third.

Deion was caught on camera talking about prospective Browns' starter Joe Flacco, mentioning he was the same age as the veteran QB.

Coach Prime clearly doesn't think highly of the Browns organization or the city as a whole. But now he will have to adjust as his son prepares to battle for a starting spot.

Hopefully Deion and the city of Cleveland can find common ground.
