The injury hits just keep on coming for the Detroit Lions in Week 12, as cornerback Carlton Davis got banged-up in the second half of the game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
The injury occurred in the fourth quarter and it appeared to be a leg issue, and a non-contact one, at that, which is always a terrible sign. However, the severity of the injury remains unknown as of this writing, just to be clear.
The Lions were already short on cornerbacks after Terrion Arnold was ruled out for Week 12 and Ennis Rakestraw Jr. was placed on injured reserve on Saturday. Here's the latest injury update on the veteran cornerback.
Carlton Davis injury update
UPDATE: Davis said he isn't sure what his status is after the game but noted he'll know more after imaging on Monday. Either way, the good news is it looks like he avoided a serious injury, especially after Campbell's positive update.
Mostly positive injury updates from the Lions locker room. David Montgomery and Taylor Decker said they’ll be good to go Thursday, Carlton Davis said he’ll know more after imaging tomorrow. Kalif Raymond the biggest concern.

UPDATE: After the game, head coach Dan Campbell revealed that he feels "OK" about Davis' status moving forward, which is good news.
Dan Campbell says he feels "OK" about injuries to Carlton Davis, David Montgomery and Taylor Decker, but says Kalif Raymond's foot injury is "a little more serious."

With that, says he's not sure if any of those four will be ready for Thursday vs. Chicago.
The Lions have a quick turnaround with their next game being on Thursday, so it remains to be seen if Davis will be healthy enough to play by then.

UPDATE: Davis is listed as questionable to return, per the team. But, in what is a great sign that Davis has dodged a bullet, he was riding the exercise bike on the sideline while speaking to a trainer.

CB Carlton Davis III, Knee, Questionable
END OF UPDATE
Davis appeared to grab at his knee after going to the ground following what looked like a non-contact injury. The good news is he was able to get up and walk off under his own power, albeit with a limp.
We don't have video of the play in question but here's a screenshot of the moment Davis apparently suffered the injury. As you can see, he wasn't making contact with any Colts offensive player when it occurred.
