Incarnate Word, Washington State, Miami, and now the Tennessee Titans. Beginning his journey as an unranked high school recruit, Ward has defied the odds and now finds himself as the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, as he’ll look to be the answer for the Titans going forward. With the team set to move into their new stadium in the near future, Ward looks to be a part of the new era in Nashville.
A night that will be full of emotion, not only for Ward, but for those around him, he took some time to hop on social media and share a message following the landmark moment in his football career.

Even though Ward showed during his one season with the Hurricanes that he’s a fearless leader, he’s also very reserved and humble. Especially as someone who was unranked coming out of high school and had to prove everything to get to where he is today, Ward is the opposite of the top quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, who isn’t afraid to brag about his accomplishments.
In one season with the Miami Hurricanes, Ward was a Heisman finalist, throwing for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns en route to leading the Canes to a double-digit win season. While the season was viewed as a disappointment after they dropped two of their last three games, essentially eliminating themselves from College Football Playoff contention, Ward showed throughout the season that he had the makings of a potential first overall pick.
Now, heading to Tennessee, Ward will be tasked with turning around a Titans team that hasn’t had consistent quarterback play since Ryan Tannehill’s solid two-year stretch. If Ward can look anything like he did in college in the NFL, Titans fans should be in good hands.
