"On the heels of a physical win over Baltimore, there's concern a Steelers' letdown is coming," Tony Mejia writes."Pittsburgh is on the road in its first short week situation of 2024, lost at Cleveland last year and went 1-1 on short rest in '23, barely defeating the Titans and losing to the Patriots, who went a combined 10-24.

"The Steelers fell at the Browns in a Week 3 TNF game in '22, too, so Mike Tomlin has a pretty recent history on his side to help offset complacency as he warns his team against letting it be repeated. That should aid the cause, so lay the short number with the Steelers."

TSN's Sloan Piva is fading conventional thinking when it comes to the total for Steelers vs. Browns.

Here's Sloan: "We sniffed out the value of this Thursday Night Football matchup nice and early. At last glance, 62 percent of the early over/under bets for this one have been on the under, so we're going against the grain and betting the over."

Piva thinks both teams will contribute offensively with relatively new QBs under center. "In the three games Jameis Winston has started since taking over for injured (and awful) QB Deshaun Watson, Jame-O has thrown six touchdowns," he observes.
