The semifinals of the Big Ten women's lacrosse tournament have concluded and it's down to the two two teams duking it out for a shot at the conference title and a berth in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Top-seeded and No. 1-ranked Northwestern received the lone bye to the semis but barely made it through to the final, surviving 13-12 against No. 5 seed Johns Hopkins. Madison Taylor scored five goals to lead the Wildcats, with top goal-scorer Izzy Scane limited to just one Thursday.
Northwestern will face No. 2 Penn State, which had an easier time in the semis with a 17-8 victory over No. 6 seed Rutgers. Leading 7-5 at the half, the Nittany Lions broke the game open with eight goals in the third quarter.
