George Pickens hints at Steelers change with cryptic social media move image

The NFL Draft first round begins on Thursday in Green Bay. As of Wednesday night, there have been no major trades, which is a bit surprising for the NFL.

But, rumors are still running rampant just ahead of the first round. On Wednesday night, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens ruffled some feathers and raised some eyebrows with an interesting social media move. Pickens unfollowed the Steelers on Instagram, as Jordan Schultz pointed out.

Earlier in the week, ESPN's Adam Schefter said Pickens is "expendable," especially after the Steelers' acquisition of superstar WR DK Metcalf.

A couple of days after, Schultz reported Pickens is an "intriguing" player to watch amid trade talks. He is in the final year of his rookie deal, and it's safe to say his time in Pittsburgh has raised plenty of questions for various reasons.

This also doesn't appear to be the first time Pickens has unfollowed the Steelers, as Alan Saunders pointed out. But, the timing sure is interesting, especially with Pickens' name being thrown around left and right leading up to the NFL Draft.

Pickens has a total of 174 catches for 2,841 yards and 12 touchdowns in his NFL career, so he is a quality option when he is healthy. But, it could be the end of the road for Pickens in the black and gold.
