Despite losing to the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night, the Los Angeles Chargers are still seen among the best teams in the NFL. With a 7-4 record, they are still in the thick of the AFC playoff race as well.
Vinnie Iyer of The Sporting News has collected his thoughts following the action in Week 12 and in his latest power rankings, the Chargers have moved up from No. 10 to No. 9. The Chargers have hovered around the top 10 for most of the season and after a tough loss to the Ravens, they didn't lose much stock.
Jim Harbaugh now knows where his team stands when it comes to the elite teams in the AFC. Three of their four losses this season have come against the Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs, three of the best teams in the league. The Chargers clearly sit on the second tier of teams in the league.

Here are Iyer's thoughts on the team heading into Week 13:
"The Chargers need to worry a little bit about seeding with the Broncos staying hot behind them after the home loss to the Ravens, but Justin Herbert and Jim Harbaugh have done enough (to) remind everyone they're AFC contenders, too."
The Chargers can't afford to get complacent. Their next game will be on the road against an Atlanta Falcons team which will have a lot to play for. They will be coming off their bye week following a 38-6 drubbing at the hands of the Denver Broncos, so the Chargers are going to get their best shot.
