Week 1 of the NFL preseason picks up on Saturday, with reports suggesting that rookie quarterbacks Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and J.J. McCarthy will all see the field.

Odds at top-rated US sportsbooks have the games involving these first-round picks -- Commanders vs. Jets, Bears vs. Bills and Raiders vs. Vikings -- all lined within a field goal. In our NFL Week 1 preseason betting preview, we cover the lines, share some analysis, and give you a few of our favorite prop bets for the biggest games on Saturday.

Best odds and predictions for Commanders vs. Jets: Jayden Daniels to get multiple series

Commanders-2.5 (-115)OVER 34-150
Jets+3 (-115)UNDER 34.5+136

Jayden Daniels finds himself with the second-best odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year (+550 at DraftKings), and Saturday is his first chance to show why he's a contender. Daniels is an electric player, expected to be the Commanders' starter immediately. They do have Marcus Mariota as a solid veteran backup, and if Daniels struggles throughout the preseason, Mariota could begin the season as the starter.

The matchup with New York will not be easy, though. The Jets figure to have one of the best defenses in the NFL and will try to put pressure on the rookie quarterback.

For the Jets, Aaron Rodgers won't suit up, but backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor is more than capable of leading the offense to success against the Commanders.

Best odds and predictions for Bears vs. Bills: Caleb Williams, Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen look to get offense rolling

Here are at best the moneylines, spreads and totals for Bears vs. Bills in Week 1 of the NFL preseason.

Aug. 10 | 1 p.m. ETSpreadTotal Moneyline
Bears+2.5OVER 38.5+125
Bills-2.5UNDER 38.5-145

The Bears, coming off a shortened Hall of Fame game, are expected to play much more of their first-team offense after none of their skill players played against the Texans. With significant off season additions, the group is one of the most improved in the NFL. Bringing in D'Andre Swift at running back, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze at wide receiver, and selecting Caleb Williams to be the franchise quarterback with the No. 1 pick, goes a long way toward creating a top-10 offense.

All of that potential will live and die with Williams' play. At USC, we saw elite arm talent and athleticism. At times, though, he could trust himself too much and try to do it all on his own, leading to turnovers. The rookie quarterback needs to find the balance between protecting the ball and play-making, and if he does, he has the talent to be one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.

Best odds and predictions for Raiders vs. Vikings: J.J. McCarthy to get significant playing time

Check out the moneyline, spread, and total points odds from the top sportsbook apps for the Raiders at Vikings NFL Week 1 NFL preseason matchup.

Aug. 10 | 4 p.m. ETSpreadTotal Moneyline
Raiders-3 (-110)OVER 39.5 (-110)-164
Vikings+3 (-105)UNDER 40.5 (-115)+150

While fellow rookie quarterbacks Daniels and Williams will start on Saturday, J.J. McCarthy will be the second quarterback into the game. Sam Darnold, the Vikings starter, will take the field first and get a few series before handing it off to McCarthy, who is expected to get a lot of time.

McCarthy has had an up-and-down camp, making his play against the Raiders on Saturday important if he wants to push Darnold for playing time this season.

Best odds and predictions for Chiefs vs. Jaguars: Patrick Mahomes and Trevor Lawrence expect to play

The Jags are slight favorites on odds boards as of this post.

Aug. 10 | 7 p.m. ETSpreadTotal Moneyline
Chiefs+1.5 (-115)OVER 40 (-112)+105
Jaguars-1 (-110)UNDER 40.5 (-110)-115

According to Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, they will each play their starting quarterbacks on Saturday. Even if it is only for a series or two, it will be fun to see Patrick Mahomes and Trevor Lawrence take the field.

Another player to watch is Chiefs rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy, who has been making a lot of plays in camp.
