Bears-Bills predicted to make blockbuster trade to land new RB in Chicago image

The Chicago Bears could be looking for a new weapon in their backfield during the NFL Draft. However, they may not want to spend their 10th overall pick on a running back if Ashton Jeanty is not available.

Jeanty will likely be taken before the Bears are on the clock. However, that does not change the fact that Ben Johnson could be looking for a running mate for D'Andre Swift.

With the Detroit Lions, he relied on Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery to create an elite offense. USA Today's Nate Davis predicted that the Bears would select Kelvin Banks Jr. at No.10, but then trade back into the first round with the Buffalo Bills to select TreVeyon Henderson.

"Caleb Williams and new HC Ben Johnson, who ran Detroit’s offense so well for three seasons, get their version of Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs," wrote Davis. "Henderson would pair nicely with D'Andre Swift and could be a real weapon as a change-of-pace back or on passing downs, especially given his reliability as a pass protector."

Henderson had 1,300 scrimmage yards last season and 11 total touchdowns. In four seasons at Ohio State, Henderson had 3,761 rushing yards, 77 receptions and 853 receiving yards.

He can make an impact in both the ground game and passing attack. As a freshman, he had 19 total touchdowns and never really slowed down. Giving Johnson a player like Henderson could be key in making the Bears an elite offense.
