WWE WrestleMania 41 night two results, match grades: With Travis Scott by his side, John Cena wins historic 17th world title image

The difference between John Cena and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 was like night and day. Cena entered the ring with no theatrics; Rhodes did. Rhodes had an army behind him; Cena was by himself. Cena was willing to do whatever it took to win gold; Rhodes was tentative.

Cena's methods worked in his favor, as he beat Rhodes in the main event of night two to win his record-breaking 17th world title. Cena is again on top of the world in his final year in wrestling.

The atmosphere in Allegiant Stadium was palpable. The crowd booed the face in Rhodes and cheered the heel in Cena, similar to The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 18. With each move Cena made, the crowd was elated. When it seemed Rhodes had the edge, they weren't happy.

Everyone expected shenanigans in the match, especially with Cena's involvement with The Rock. It wasn't The Rock who showed up, but rapper Travis Scott. He hit Rhodes with a hard shot at the Elimination Chamber, and Rhodes got his lick back. That distraction led to Cena and Rhodes fighting over the world title. Rhodes got it but didn't use it. Cena had no problem using it to win the match.

Cena has surpassed Ric Flair for most all-time title wins, and now he holds WWE hostage. What does this mean for WWE moving forward?

It was a historic end to a historic night. While WWE's past will dominate headlines, its future looks bright.

Bron Breakker looked like the next big thing in pro wrestling at WrestleMania, but it was Dominik Mysterio who won the Intercontinental Title. Mysterio beat Breakker, Penta, and Judgement Day partner Finn Balor for gold. He worked well with Balor until he attempted to turn on him. Balor, visibly upset, ended his partnership with Mysterio.

It didn't bother Mysterio. Balor almost won the match with a Coup de Grace, but Mysterio landed the Frog Splash on him to take gold back to Liv Morgan.

Morgan needed it, as she lost the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Raquel Rodriguez. Lyra Valkyria needed a tag team partner after Bayley was removed from the match. WWE stated she was injured, but reports said she wasn't. Regardless, Valkyria required help, and she got it in the form of fellow Irish wrestler Becky Lynch.

Lynch returned for the first time in a year, and it looked like she had never left. They beat Morgan and Rodriguez to the delight of the crowd. Valkyria, the Women's IC Champion, followed in Lynch's footsteps and became a double champion.

Do you believe in Joe Hendry? Randy Orton faced the TNA World Champion after a match against Kevin Owens got nixed due to injury. It didn't last long, but TNA, and mainly Hendry, got massive exposure.

Many questioned why Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest was on the WrestleMania card. Both proved the doubters wrong by delivering in a Sin City Street Fight. They continued their rivalry from the last WrestleMania when Priest cashed in on McIntyre, who had just won gold. One thing was for sure: McIntyre wasn't leaving WrestleMania without getting a selfie.

They threw everything but the kitchen sink at one another. McIntyre, a man possessed, put Priest through steps, tables, and chairs, the latter with his neck for the win. The feud may not be over, but McIntyre is ready to move on to his next victim.

Opening the show, Iyo Sky continued her unbeaten run against Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley when she retained the Women's World Championship. In one of the best matches of WrestleMania weekend, all three women gave it their all.

Belair, a face getting booed through the build, proved she's one of the best in the world by avoiding the noise and showcasing her strength. Speaking of strength, Ripley showcased her ability to the fullest. One day, those two will have a singles match at WrestleMania. However, today was all about the crafty Sky, who proved doubters and oddsmakers wrong by retaining.

The Sporting News provided results, analysis, and match grades for night two of WrestleMania 41.

WWE WrestleMania 41 Night 2 results, highlights

Welcome to The Sporting News' live coverage of night two of WrestleMania 41.

There is a small change to the card, as Bayley is out of her match with Lyra Valkyria against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. WWE reported an injury, but that is not the case. Wonder what that means for Bayley, who was taken out of two potential WrestleMania matches (against Roxanne Perez).

Will Becky Lynch come out tonight?

Travis Scott has arrived in Las Vegas.

Singing the National Anthem: Ava Max.

Here we go! Night two time! Stephanie McMahon comes out. She says the last WrestleMania in Las Vegas was when she was nine. Now, one of her daughters are 16.

The opening match: Iyo Sky defending the Women's World Championship against Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. Sky came out first. Belair is getting booed. Ripley came out last.

Iyo Sky retains gold against Belair, Ripley in WrestleMania classic

Belair and Ripley teamed up on Sky to start. Sky recovered and landed several dropkicks. Belair and Ripley faced off, a match fans expected they would be in. Belair attacked both. Double blockbuster by Sky followed by a double basement dropkick. Ripley with a cannonball to the outside onto Belair, and Sky hit a moonsault to Ripley. These women are working!

Belair and Sky were the ones in the ring and Belair used her power to outwork Sky. Outside the ring, Sky tried for a hurricanrana, but her opponents took her out. Razor's Edge to Sky onto Belair. Ripley with a submission to Sky and Belair and the former the other to go down. All women were down until Sky landed knees in the corner.

Avalanche off the top rope, with Sky getting the worst of the fall. Belair jumped and Ripley kicked her straight in the chest. Sky kicked Ripley and Belair got back up and hit Sky. 450 Splash by Belair to Sky, Riptide by Ripley to Belair, all only for two. Belair is generational. Riptide attempt to Sky, who landed a DDT. Top rope Riptide to Sky, who reversed it. She almost landed a moonsault but Ripley kicked her to the other side of the state. KOD by Belair but Ripley broke up the pin. Goodness.

Belair taunted Ripley. Ripley spat on her as they traded hard shots. Sky on top and tried a reverse hurricanrana, but Ripley forced her head to go off the apron. KOD attempt by Belair, and Ripley tried a Riptide. Belair slapped Ripley with her braid. KOD by Belair and Sky landed a moonsault on Belair as the referee counted the pin for the win.

Was not expecting Sky to retain, but a very nice finish. That was a true WrestleMania classic. What a great job by all three women.

Grade: A+

Flavor Flav, Merab Dvalishvili, and Rich The Kid are all at WrestleMania.

Drew McIntyre walks out of Sin City (Street Fight) with a win against Damian Priest

Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest in a Sin City Street Fight is next. There's a long history between the two, with Priest cashing in on McIntyre after just winning gold last WrestleMania being a key part of the feud. Slayer brought out Priest.

McIntyre attacked Priest right from the start. Priest took back control. McIntyre with a suplex onto the ramp on the outside and put the steps into the ring. Priest threw stairs to the face of McIntyre. McIntyre threw the steps to Priest's own head and spine. He took a selfie and tweeted it out, just like last year.

McIntyre set up multiple tables on the outside. He landed a massive dive off the top rope. McIntyre tried for the Claymore, but Priest pushed a chair to his face. McIntyre still hit the Claymore. He punished Priest with a chair. McIntyre wrapped the chair around Priest's neck but Priest countered with a version of the South of Heaven. Priest hit chair shots to McIntyre, but McIntyre recovered.

McIntyre set up a table on the inside of the ring. Priest landed a Razor's Edge onto the table. Priest tried for a South of Heaven, but McIntyre blinded him. He landed a Future Shock DDT on the steel steps. Both exchanged shots in the middle of the ring. Priest tried going Old School but McIntyre pushed him to the outside through both tables.

McIntyre with a Claymore to Priest's head through a chair for the win.

McIntyre and Priest proved those who doubted why they should be on the WrestleMania card wrong. A big win for McIntyre, who needed it.

Grade: A-

WWE returns to Australia in October. Jahmyr Gibbs, Daniel Cormier, and Tony Hinchcliffe are ringside.

Bron Breakker vs. Penta vs. Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Title is up next. Will Dominik turn on Finn? Bron Breakker was a rebel, he was the only one to not wear a mask to the ring for this match.

Dirty win for Dirty Dom: Dominik Mysterio wins the Intercontinental Title

Breakker went right after Mysterio. The Judgement Day teamed up against Breakker. Penta took control, landing a massive dive to Balor and Mysterio. Breakker with a massive shoulder tackle. In the ring, Penta got hit with a flying Spear. Military Press slam to Balor and a Spear to Mysterio. Penta isolated Balor and Mysterio, breaking Balor's arm.

Breakker with a double German Suplex to Penta and Balor. Penta avoided a Spear. Mysterio took advantage and attacked Penta and Breakker. Three Amigos by Mysterio. Carlito showed up ringside. Balor and Mysterio worked well together. Frankensteiner to Balor but only for two. Balor and Mysterio cleared the ring. Mysterio landed the 619 to Balor, who caught him. Penta with a Penta Driver to Balor.

Knee by Breakker to Penta. Carlito sent Breakker over the top rope. Mysterio and Penta exchanged moves. Carlito stopped Penta from winning. Breakker Speared Carlito through the announce table.

Breakker with a Spear to Penta. 619 by Mysterio to Breakker. Balor stopped him from landing a splash. Slingblades by Balor. Coup de Grace by Balor, and Mysterio with a Frog Splash for the win.

A very entertaining match. Dominik Mysterio now holds the Intercontinental Title. The issues between Mysterio and Finn Balor worked towards the former's favor. Penta looked great, Bron Breakker is a freak of nature.

Grade: A-

Colby Covington, Metro Boomin, and Dean Norris were all shown on the screen.

Randy Orton comes out next for his next match. A planned bout against Kevin Owens was nixed following an Owens injury. Who will Orton face?

Randy Orton believes in the RKO, not Joe Hendry

It's Joe Hendry! TNA is represented at WrestleMania! What a wild time to be alive.

Orton tried to go for the RKO but Hendry stopped it. They exchanged moves in the ring. Hendry with a neckbreaker. Hendry tried to take over, but Orton landed vintage moves on him. A top rope DDT connected. Orton tried for the RKO but Hendry with a Fallaway Slam. Orton with an RKO for the win.

It was a nothing much, but a nice surprise for Hendry to get a WrestleMania moment. I'm grading it based on the match, but I'd give it an "A" for being entertained. I still believe.

Grade: C

After the match, Orton gave Hendry his props, as did the crowd. And then he gave Hendry another RKO.

AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul is up next. Styles has had a very weird WrestleMania match history.

Logan Paul Paulverizes AJ Styles for big WrestleMania win

They locked up to start. Styles showcased his unique skills, landing a massive dropkick. Styles used the apron to his advantage, dropping Paul through the flag attached to the ring. He landed a running knee. After taking control for the majority of the match, Styles would slow down and Paul took advantage, attacking the shoulder.

Paul punished him on the outside of the ring. He used his drone on the outside to gloat. Paul used the apron to suffocate Styles. Paul From Grace frog splash from the top rope. A quick Overbomb by Paul. Paul with a Hulk Hogan tribute with the leg drop. He used his boxing background to land jabs. Styles recovered after a moonsault.

Paul showboated and it cost him. Styles with a neckbreaker. Brainbuster by Styles. Both traded moves. Styles went for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Paul hit a rolling senton and a Lionsault. Styles with a Styles Clash by the ropes but Paul held onto the ropes. Buckshot Lariat by Paul. He landed hard shots to the ribs of Styles. Styles with a reverse slam for two.

Styles tried for a splash, but Paul got the knees up. He landed a Styles Clash of his own, but Styles hit one onto him. One of Paul's buddies, named Jeff, tried to interfere. Karrion Kross stopped him from using brass knuckles. Kross tried to tell Styles to use the knuckles but Styles didn't. Phenomenal Forearm missed and Paul landed a right hand and a Paulverizer for the win.

Paul beats AJ Styles. Wow. Karrion Kross played a big role in the match. A solid effort by both men, the biggest win of Paul's career.

Grade: B+

Vanessa Hudgens, Rana Daggubati, Terence Crawford, and Quavo were ringside.

Becky Lynch returns, wins tag team gold with fellow Irishman Lyra Valkyria

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defend the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship next. Who will team with Lyra Valkyria? It should be Bayley. Becky Lynch is back after almost a year. Both Irish stars are teaming up.

Lynch attacked Rodriguez and Morgan. Valkyria took control and dropped Rodriguez on the outside. She got distracted by Morgan, and Rodriguez landed a big boot. Valkyria played the face in peril. Morgan with the Three Amigos. Lynch back in the ring but got attacked.

Valkyria continued to get pulverized. She finally found an opening and tagged Lynch. She got her hands on Morgan, who she has a long history with. Lynch with a Molly Go Round and a Becksploder. Armbar to the Disarm-Her but Morgan landed the Oblivion. Valkyria stopped the pin. She landed a DDT to Rodriguez on the outside. Lynch with the Manhandle Slam for the win.

A nice, shocking change in titles. Unfortunately, Lynch's return took away from Bayley being removed from the match for some reason. Good for Valkyria to hold two belts.

Grade: B-

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin came out. 63,226 was the crowd size. 124,693 was the total amount of fans between both nights. He did hit someone with his quad as he entered the ring. Free tickets for life?

John Cena makes history, wins 17th world title

The main event is up next: Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena. WWE already teased Cena and Paul Heyman on the Pat McAfee show tomorrow. Very odd. The presentation of both was very interesting: Rhodes with theatrics, Cena with nothing but darkness.

Rhodes got the full WrestleMania 18 treatment, getting booed as the face like The Rock did against Hulk Hogan. Rhodes forced Cena to the outside right away. Back in the ring, Rhodes outwrestled Cena. Rhodes with a suicide dive. Cena landed a right and a few shots to the gut of Rhodes. He landed a knee to Rhodes' skull.

Cena slowed the pace way down. Rhodes had no answer for him. Rhodes finally fought back, much to the chagrin of the crowd. Tornado DDT by Cena. He landed a shoulder tackle and continued the process, ever so slowly until he landed all the Five Moves of Doom. Before he could do the Five Knuckle Shuffle, Rhodes had hit scouted. Disaster Kick. Cody Cutter but only for two.

Rhodes with a few shots to honor Dusty. Cena with an AA but only for two. "You Can't See Me" and Five Knuckle Shuffle. AA attempt but Rhodes tried a rollup. Up top, Rhodes got blocked by Cena. Cena with a Super AA from the top rope but only for two. Rhodes caught Cena with a powerbomb after a legdrop attempt. Cody Cutter for two. Cross Rhodes attempt into an AA. STF (called the STFU again) by Cena. Rhodes broke it up and the referee was taken out. Cross Rhodes.

Cena took off the top turnbuckle pad and crashed him into it multiple times. AA connected but only for two. Travis Scott arrived. Scott tried to hit Rhodes. Cross Rhodes to Cena. Scott took the referee out the ring. Rhodes invited Scott into the ring. He tried to hit Rhodes. Rhodes with the Cross Rhodes to Scott. Cena tried to hit Rhodes with the belt. Rhodes was going to hit him with it but paused. Cena kicked him below the belt. Cena hit Rhodes with the belt. Cena won the match and his 17th world title.

Travis Scott was at WrestleMania... apparently The Rock was not? John Cena won his 17th world title, but the match didn't have a crazy ending as many expecting. Especially for a WrestleMania.
