The first round of the NBA Playoffs has kicked off with a mixed bag of results. Entering Wednesday night's slate, there are two series that are at 2-0 with the Indiana Pacers leading the Milwaukee Bucks and the Oklahoma City Thunder holding an advantage over the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Lakers-Timberwolves, Knicks-Pistons and Nuggets-Clippers series are all tied at one game apiece as of Wednesday. But, the Western Conference 1-8 matchup between the Thunder and Grizzlies has not been close.
The Thunder got the win in Game 1 by 51 points and then earned the Game 2 victory by 19 points, both of which came in Oklahoma City.
Now, the series shifts to Memphis for Games 3 and 4, although ticket prices are dropping considerably for those matchups.
As of Wednesday morning, tickets are as low as $10 for Game 3, per the TickPick website. Tickets for Game 4 are already as low as $18, and for some perspective, a potential Game 5 in OKC has ticket prices at a low of $74, so it is quite the disparity between Memphis and OKC.
It's not very hard to see why Grizzlies fans aren't flocking to see this team. Memphis fired head coach Taylor Jenkins just a few games before the NBA Playoffs, and the first two games of the series have been a blowout.
Still, going to an NBA Playoff for $10 is too good of a deal to pass up for even an average NBA fan, especially with the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference playing.
