Eagles one of 6 teams with perfect grade after NFL Draft first round image

The first round of the 2025 NFL Draft came and went with plenty of surprises. One of them happened early with the Jacksonville Jaguars going from No. 5 to No. 2 to select Travis Hunter.

Other shocking trades included the Atlanta Falcons trading away a 2026 first-round pick to move up and draft Tennessee EDGE James Pearce Jr. The New York Giants also got into the trade frenzy by trading back into the first to select Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart, so there was a lot of action.

At the end of the first round, the Philadelphia Eagles moved up one spot from No. 32 to No. 31 and selected Alabama LB Jihaad Campbell in a home run pick.

Sporting News NFL expert Vinnie Iyer had live grades during the first round, and he had six teams with a perfect A+ grade. Those six teams are as follows:

  • San Francisco 49ers, Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams
  • Indianapolis Colts, Penn State TE Tyler Warren
  • Atlanta Falcons, Georgia LB Jalon Walker
  • Green Bay Packers, Texas WR Matthew Golden
  • Baltimore Ravens, Georgia Safety Malaki Starks
  • Philadelphia Eagles, Alabama LB Jihaad Campbell

Here's what Iyer wrote about the 49ers, who selected Williams at No. 11 and had the first A+ grade of the night.

"The 49ers were looking at the best offensive lineman or edge rusher available and with Campbell, Membou and Banks off the board, it was a lot easier to turn to Williams, the safest, highest-floor pass rusher in this class. Williams is the ideal fit for Robert Saleh to play well off Nick Bosa and produce big impact right away."

All in all, Iyer's grades were all passing in the first round, but it was these six teams who had perfect grades for their choices.
