NBA DFS picks: Optimal DraftKings 'NBA $333K Zone Special' lineup for Wednesday, Nov. 20

Knowing the scoring format for DraftKings contests before jumping into our lineup is important. We are highlighting stats with different values compared to other DFS providers. A point scored is worth 1 point, three are worth 0.5 points, rebounds are worth 1.25 points, assists are worth 1.5 points, and steals and blocks are worth 2 points. If a player gets a double-double, it's worth an extra 1.5 points, and a triple-double is worth an extra 3 points. Lineups are "classic" style, so you draft a starting five, along with three bench players (one forward, one guard, and a utility player).

PG: Josh Giddey, CHI @ MIL ($6,000)

Giddey is having a solid season with his new team and has seen an uptick in playing time. During the end of his time in OKC, he started playing fewer minutes, and even when on the floor, he was handling the ball less because SGA's MVP-level breakout necessitated it. Giddey is averaging a career-high in assists (6.6 APG) this season and racking up the DFS points.

SG: Luguentz Dort, OKC vs. POR ($5,200)

We are taking Dort for a second night in a row, as we love riding players on hot streaks. Dort averages 24.7 DFS points a night this season, but with the Thunder banged up, Dort is getting extra playing time and more opportunities to produce. He has had at least 30 DFS points in three straight games, which makes him a great value for this price.

SF: Andrew Wiggins, OKC vs. POR ($5,400)

Wiggins has always been a streaky shooter, but when he is hitting shots, he's a tough cover. He tallied 28.25 DFS points in his last game while going 2-for-4 from three.

PF: Robert Williams, POR @ OKC ($4,400)

Williams has always been a productive player when healthy, but that has not been often. He is healthy now, though, and playing well for the Blazers. He is on a hot streak, scoring 46.25 and 29.5 DFS points in his last two games. That makes him a great low-price, high-value option.

C: Jabari Smith Jr., HOU vs. IND ($4,600)

Jabari Smith Jr. faces one of the worst defensive teams in the league tonight against the Pacers. Smith Jr. is a value play because his price is lower than usual after an off night in his last game. He had 22 and 51.25 DFS points in his two games prior.

G: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC vs. POR ($10,500)

SGA is becoming a lineup-lock type of player, as he produces so many points regularly. With 43.5 DFS points as his low mark in his last five games, he has over 51 in the other four, including a 77.75-point night last week.

F: Jake LaRavia, MEM vs. PHI ($4,500)

Our sleeper play of the day, Jake LaRavia has been getting more playing time with Zach Edey out the last few games. The extra playing time has led to extra production, including a 32.75 DFS point game last night.

Utility: Stephen Curry,  OKC vs. POR ($9,100)

We saved a little of our budget to splurge on our last pick with Steph Curry. Curry is listed as questionable tonight, driving his price down, but reports suggest he will likely play. He has been on a heater, too, scoring well over his 44.45 DFS average in the last four games at 52.3.

NBA DFS picks: Optimal FanDuel 'Wed NBA Clutch Shot' lineup for tonight

Here are a few key scoring details for FanDuel: Three-pointers and free throws made are worth one point, rebounds 1.2 points, assists 1.5 points, field goals made 2 points, and steals and blocks are worth 3 points. The FanDuel lineup is made up of two players at each position, with the exception of only one center.
