The 2025 NFL offseason has been full of rumors surrounding future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Fans have grown tired of the rumors, especially Pittsburgh Steelers fans.

Almost every single day, a new update or opinion is shared about Rodgers and where he might end up. However, Rodgers has now updated his own situation.

During a Thursday appearance of "The Pat McAfee Show," Rodgers revealed the main reason he has not signed with a new team yet. That reason is due to things going on in his personal life.

"I'll set it all straight. From the jump, I'm in a different phase of my life, I'm 41 years old, I'm in a serious relationship, I have personal commitments I've made... and people in my inner circle battling difficult stuff. To make a commitment to a team is a big thing."

Rodgers also admitted that retirement is still under consideration for him.

Unfortunately, this does nothing to give the Steelers any idea of what Rodgers is going to do. They would love to add him to the roster, although they also might have to make a decision in the near future.

With the 2025 NFL Draft set to begin on April 24, Pittsburgh still needs a starting quarterback. Right now, the starter would be Mason Rudolph. That is not an ideal scenario for a team hoping to make a run at the Super Bowl.

It will be interesting to see what Rodgers chooses to do when he reaches a decision. No one is going to like this update, but he's entitled to making sure he makes the right decision for himself. He has openly told teams not to wait on him and to go ahead and make another decisions should they choose to do so.

At this point in time, there is no timetable for when the 41-year-old quarterback could make a decision. He's simply taking the offseason as it comes and letting his decision come to him without forcing it.
