The Denver Broncos had one of the biggest free-agent signings that any team was able to pull off so far this offseason, getting linebacker Dre Greenlaw to agree to a three-year, $35 million deal. However, a recent report has come out stating that Greenlaw may have suffered a very significant injury.
Jennifer Lee Chan of Bay Area Sports reports that Greenlaw suffered a torn quadriceps that could cause him to miss a "substantial chunk" of the 2025 season. Though that would be devastating news, other sources are already refuting that.
#Broncos ILB Dre Greenlaw did suffer a quadriceps injury working out, but a source familiar with the situation says it's a strain and should cost him a matter of weeks rather than months.

Regular season not expected to be in jeopardy for the Denver free agent addition.
Broncos fans will have to hope that the tweet from Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post is the one that holds more accuracy.
Greenlaw suffered a torn Achilles during the San Francisco 49ers' loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII. He started last season on the PUP list and was able to play in just two games. Despite Greenlaw's immense talent, the Broncos were taking a bit of a risk signing him due to that injury.
If he has a new one, even if it's not as bad as the initial report, it's a fairly large concern for the team going forward.
The Broncos are looking to become a bully on defense and Greenlaw would figure into that in a major way. If he is lost for any amount of time this season, either Drew Sanders or Justin Strnad will have to step up and fill some pretty big shoes next to the other presumed starter at inside linebacker, Alex Singleton.
