The Dallas Cowboys have not made a move to bring in a reliable receiver to complement CeeDee Lamb. However, they are showing interest in a reunion with one of their former stars.
The Cowboys traded Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns before the 2022 season. However, he is now a free agent after the Browns traded him to the Buffalo Bills last season. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Nick Harris noted that the Cowboys are interested in signing him.
"While attention is still devoted to the trade market, so is the availability of veteran free agents. Intriguing options remain unsigned such as Keenan Allen, Nelson Agholor and Robert Woods," wrote Harris. "However, there is building team interest in bringing free agent Amari Cooper back for a reunion in Dallas, according to a Star-Telegram team source."
Cooper had 3,893 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns with the Cowboys. He and Lamb were a great duo, but Harris noted that Cooper may not be as interested in a reunion as the Cowboys.
"Team interest is one thing, but the appeal will have to be reciprocated by Cooper if the two sides do, in fact, connect over a second stint with the Cowboys," wrote Harris.

The Cowboys traded a first-round pick to acquire Cooper in 2018. However, they traded him to the Browns for just a fifth and sixth-round pick. Cooper has been a five-time Pro Bowler, with his last selection coming in 2023. Spotrac projects him to sign a two-year, $37 million deal.
