Broncos make trade with Eagles to get back into 3rd round of NFL Draft image

The Denver Broncos appeared to be done drafting on Friday night but just before the end of the third round, they completed a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles to get back into the third round and select another player.

Here are the official details on the trade:

Broncos receive: Picks No. 101 and 134
Eagles receive: Picks Nos. 111, 130 and 191

It was the third trade made by the Broncos during the evening as they moved all over the board in search of the right spots to hit on the players they had high on their board. In this case, they moved up to select LSU edge rusher Sai'vion Jones.

The Broncos added an edge rusher to an already solid group as they did with Jahdae Barron in the first round. Jones joins a group that includes Nik Bonitto, Jonathon Cooper and Jonah Elliss but with Bonitto set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, the addition of Jones makes sense.

The Broncos also traded back twice in the second round to get extra picks later in the draft before selecting UCF running back R.J. Harvey
