The Indianapolis Colts have seven total selections in the 2025 NFL Draft, including the No. 14 overall pick.
As the draft officially gets underway Thursday night in Green Bay, it's difficult to truly know exactly which prospect the Colts will select in the first round.
Going into his ninth draft at the helm, general manager Chris Ballard has several ways he can go about making the selection at No. 14 overall. Considering the team's failure to reach the playoffs in each of the last four seasons, the pressure is certainly on for Ballard.
For the majority of the offseason, the Colts have been viewed as a prime landing spot for a tight end in the draft. That means Indianapolis is in play to land either Penn State's Tyler Warren or Michigan's Colston Loveland, two tight end prospects expected to go in the first round.
There's also the chance Ballard pivots to a different position. Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell is an option while Texas A&M edge rusher Shemar Stewart, Michigan cornerback Will Johnson and Alabama guard Tyler Booker could be considered dark-horse candidates.
While the NFL Draft officially begins at 8:00 p.m. ET, fans are well-versed in the ceremonies that take place. Included in that is the address from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, which typically takes a few minutes.

Each team is allotted 10 minutes to make selections on Day 1 of the draft Thursday night. With 13 teams expected to go ahead of the Colts, it will be a while until they are officially on the clock.
Considering everything that takes place before the Colts will officially be on the clock, it seems likely they will make their selection between 9:30 and 10:00 p.m. ET.
