The Baltimore Orioles are off to a slow start this season. They are 12-18 and sit in last place in the American League East, 5 1/2 games behind the reigning AL champion New York Yankees.
They'll need to turn things around quickly if they want to make another run at the postseason. If they are in the mix, they will likely look for ways to upgrade their roster.
The Orioles currently aren't getting much production out of the third base position to start the year, and they may need to invest in that area of the roster.
Zachary Howell of Clutch Points noted that Minnesota Twins third baseman Royce Lewis could be an ideal target.
"Every infield spot in Baltimore is secure save the hot corner. Ramon Urias is holding things down for now but isn't the offensive threat the Orioles want him to be. Lewis, on the other hand, is an offensive talent that would slot right in as a part of the team's lineup," Howell writes.

Lewis is currently on the injured list, but he performed well last season and provides power from the right side of the plate, as well as an upgrade over the struggling Urias.
Lewis slashed .233/.295/.452 with 16 home runs, 47 RBI and a .747 OPS last season. If he can stay healthy, he has a chance to blossom into a special player.
Baltimore has a logjam of position players and needs pitching more than offense. But it can't hurt to try and upgrade at third base as well.
It will be interesting to see what they decide to do at the deadline. They'll need Lewis healthy if they want to pursue him.
