Liverpool have decided to keep their reliable second-choice goalkeeper, Caoimhin Kelleher, amid rumors of his departure from Anfield.
Caoimhin Kelleher has been an outstanding backup to Alisson Becker for many years. Praised by Jurgen Klopp as the best second-choice goalkeeper in the world, Kelleher has proven his worth time and again.
Last season, when Alisson was injured, Kelleher stepped up with stellar performances, earning rave reviews and solidifying his reputation.

Despite his impressive showings, there were speculations about Kelleher wanting to leave Liverpool to become a first-choice goalkeeper elsewhere. As he turns 26 later this year, it seemed natural for him to seek more regular playing time.
However, with Alisson still firmly established as Liverpool's number one, Kelleher's chances of becoming the main goalkeeper at Anfield appeared slim.
During pre-season, Kelleher continued to shine in Alisson’s absence, showcasing his abilities and dedication. This has led Liverpool to plan for the upcoming season with Kelleher still part of the squad.
The Reds value him at around £25-30 million ($32- 38m), but their resolve hasn't been tested yet with any substantial offers.
Barring an extraordinary offer in the next few weeks, Kelleher will remain at Anfield, which is great news for Liverpool supporters. However, this decision may lead to other changes in the squad.
Vitezslav Jaros, who had a successful stint as the first-choice goalkeeper at Sturm Graz last season and performed well against Manchester United in pre-season, might not want to stay as the third-choice keeper. Liverpool will need to address Jaros' future if Kelleher stays.
