In the third match of Saturday Night Main Event, fans were treated to a combination of the first two matches. A grudge match cominbed with a belt on the line. Perfect. Gunther was able to defeat Priest at Survivor Series, but only after Balor interfered, the same way he did when Gunther took the Heavyweight championship at Summer Slam.

Gunther hated the help, and eventually their match turned into a triple threat with Balor's consistent obsession with ruining Priest's life leading to the match.

When the match starts, Priest and Gunther clear Balor out of the ring first. Priest then sends Gunther down to the floor and crashes over the top rope, barely landing his feet to Gunther's head. Commercial break, yay.

Back from break it's Preist and Balor, but Gunther lands a boot to both's faces to gain advantage. A Boston Crab was interrupted by a Balor chop, which just made Gunther made. A awkward Pele kick by Balor was followed by a clunky double clotheslie by Priest. The chops are the best thing in this match thus far.

Preist, who's been nicknamed a new-age Undertaker, actually takes his move and after a finger lock on Gunther, walks the top rope to deliver the cross body.

Priest tries to line up a Razor's Edge, but it ends up being Balor delivering Sling Blades to first Priest then Gunther. Gunter tries to land a sleeper on Balor but it's reversed, and then Gunther lookc to lock it in on Priest.

Priest escapes and lands a Choke Slam on Gunther but Balor intervenes and lands a drop kick. He climbed for a Coup De Gras but Gunther took his legs out. Preist lands a Razor's Edge on Gunther and Balor follows up with a Coup De Gras. Priest interrupts the pin and lands a South of Heaven but Gunther interrupts the count.

Gunther Powerbomb's Priest on the steps, races in the ring and drop kicks Balor before landing a PowerBomb on him. He quickly folds him up and gets the three count.

Gunther wins by pinfall.

Matchup Grade: B+

The action got fast and furious at the end, and Gunther maintains his reign as the best wrestler on Raw.

What's Next?

It's hard to see Priest continue to get opportunities and Balor really didn't deserve to be in the championship picture either. With CM Punk and Seth Rollins waiting in the wings and Drew McIntyre currently pointed at the OG Bloodline, it feels like those two are next to take a shot at the king.
