Jets' Breece Hall injury update good news for fantasy football managers image

Putting fantasy football managers in a pickle, New York Jets' running back Breece Hall was all over the injury report for the past three weeks.

Fighting through a knee issue, Hall has failed to register a complete week of practice since before Thanksgiving and was forced to miss one game along the way. The Jets' RB1 was unavailable for the December 8 road contest against the Miami Dolphins before returning to the lineup on December 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars despite carrying a questionable tag into gameday.

Fortunately, Hall's availability is no longer in question as the Jets prepare for their December 22 home game against the Los Angeles Rams. The 23-year-old running back has participated fully in back-to-back practices for the first time in a month, and the Jets have removed him from the official injury report.

Meanwhile, rookie backups Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis are both dealing with back injuries. The first-year running backs were limited on Wednesday and Thursday in Florham Park.

Despite starting last week in the 32-25 win over the Jaguars, Hall played less than 50 percent of the offensive snaps. He rushed nine times for 30 yards and one touchdown while adding 21 yards on two receptions. Allen and Davis combined for 47 yards on seven touches.

Hall will have to turn on the jets over the season's final three games in order to reach the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the first time in his career. Over 13 starts, he has rushed for 722 yards and five touchdowns last season. The versatile running back has made 48 catches for 422 yards and two touchdowns.

Numbers suggest the Rams' defense is susceptible to a big day from Hall on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Los Angeles allows 5.71 yards per play (27th in NFL) and their rushing defense (135.4) ranks 28th out of 32 teams.
