After getting shelled for a lack of significant additions to address big needs during free agency, Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider has scored some big points with the fan base after the 2025 NFL draft.

Overall, the reviews for the Seahawks' draft class have been positive, with some experts even believing the team had the best draft of any squad in the NFL.

And it isn't just analysts saying it. In an article by The Athletic's Mike Sando that took the opinions of unnamed executives for each team's draft, one executive lauded the Seahawks for nabbing three of the better players in the draft.

Those three players were offensive lineman Grey Zabel, safety Nick Emmanwori and tight end Elijah Arroyo.

“The top of the draft was really good for them,” the executive said. “They got three of the better players in the whole draft. (Elijah) Arroyo was the fifth tight end taken? He is a really good player. That is shocking. And I love (Nick) Emmanwori. He is going to be their Kam Chancellor in terms of physicality and demeanor.”

Another executive was high on Seattle's pick of Arroyo, specifically because the executive believes he is the second-best pass-catching tight end in the entire group behind only Colston Loveland, which is shocking considering that Tyler Warren was widely considered the class' best tight end.

“After Michigan (Colston Loveland), [Arroyo] is the best pass threat in the tight end group,” one exec said of Arroyo. “He is so fast — so fast.”

Another executive weighed in on the selection of quarterback Jalen Milroe and says the Alabama product is a great fit for offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak's offense.

“They run all those nakeds and that stuff, so if (starter Sam) Darnold gets hurt, the system is kind of set for what Milroe does next,” the exec said. “You find out the things he does best, the big hard run fakes, the play-action pass. And maybe he develops as a passer.”

The last sentence is the biggest question mark with Milroe. We know he has all the tools and can make an immediate impact with his elite athleticism, but his ability to develop as a passer will determine how far he goes in the NFL.

For now, Milroe is in a great spot. With Sam Darnold and Drew Lock ahead of him, Milroe can develop in the background in the hopes he can turn himself into a legit starter at some point in the next year or two.
