Angel Reese and Rihanna met in person for the first time at the 38th annual Footwear News Achievement Awards, and it appears that we may be getting an official collaboration from the two in the future.
Reese attended the ceremony to accept her Style Influencer of the Year award from the organization, where she talked about being a young woman navigating the unique worlds of sports, fame and fashion. She also gave a shoutout to Reebok for their unwavering support.
“I’m 22 years old, I’m still figuring life out, but this is just the beginning,” she said during her speech, adding, “I want to give a huge shoutout to Reebok for just believing in me and bringing my vision to life, for everything I ever wanted to do with them and am continuing to do with them. My dreams have already come true. They’ve given me the platform to be myself, unapologetically myself.”
Meanwhile, Rihanna also attended the ceremony in support of A$AP Rocky, who received the Collaboration of the Year Award with Puma. After the awards show, Reese and Rihanna attended a post-event, where Reese posted an Instagram story of the two together.
"I wanna work with you one day," Reese said to Rihanna, who answered, “Let’s do it.” Reese has snagged tons of endorsement deals over the past year, most recently with REESE’s, as the basketball star just released a limited-edition REESE’S Duffel Puff Bag earlier this week.
If recent events are any indication, Reese is well on her way to working with Rihanna in the future.
