Ranking realistic trade destinations for Minnesota Timberwolves forward Julius Randle...

3. Los Angeles Clippers

It all boils down to whether the Wolves will try to work through their chemistry issues with Randle. A year ago, Minnesota played in the Western Conference Finals. This season, they're hanging on to a playoff spot for dear life. Defensively, they're one of the best -- offensively, they're the complete opposite.

A clear option for the Wolves to entertain a trade is with the LA Clippers. As a top-five team in the West, they're still missing one more piece to become a legit contender. To help them take that next step, they could use some additional size in their frontcourt and a forward to help them spread the floor. They also could use some help on the boards (14th in the league).

The addition of Randle not only brings a power forward to throw alongside center Ivica Zubac, but gives them some much-needed size. After Zubac, the second-best rebounder on the team is James Harden (5.8).

Luckily for the Clippers, they have one player that would be an extremely offer for Minnesota -- 31-year-old guard Norman Powell. He is having the best season in his career. As a top 30 scorer in the league, his scoring ability is a huge need for the Wolves.

Much like other top teams, Minnesota is extremely limited in what they can do via trade. Powell's contract isn't far off from Randle's and would only take likely one more player to match contracts. The Wolves also need a point guard due to Donte DiVincenzo and Mike Conley's health issues this season. LA has Kris Dunn that would be a perfect player to add to the deal.

But are the Wolves buying into Powell's Most Improved Player-caliber season he's put together? It wouldn't take much to convince the Clippers to pull the trigger. More so, it would be up to Minnesota willing to part ways with Randle to address their scoring woes.

While LA is a great fit for Randle, the Chicago Bulls also have a shot to land the 30-year-old forward. Find out why.
