There is no denying that Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has become one of the most talked about female athletes in recent years, consistently setting new records and bringing in a surge of new viewership to women’s basketball.
Clark, who is currently the WNBA Rookie of the Year, rose to fame while playing college basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Her first year in the WNBA did not disappoint, as she set a new WNBA rookie assist record and was ultimately named Athlete of the Year by Time magazine.
Still, at just 23 years old, it is clear that Clark is only at the very beginning of what is sure to be an incredibly promising career. Given her massive fame and success, many only believe that it will be a matter of time before a film is made based on her life.
On Sunday, April 13, Clark was asked who she would want to play her in a potential biopic and she had one name in mind and she was quick to provide an answer.
“In the inevitable biopic of your life, who would you want to play you?”
“That’s tough…Anne Hathaway. Is that a good pick?” she responded.
The clip was posted to the Indiana Fever Instagram page and many fans shared their thoughts on this pic, with some offering up ideas of other potential candidates for the role.
“Anne Hathaway is a perfect fit to play Clarke,” said one fan.
“Daisy Edgar-Jones would be a close comparison too,” commented another.
