Georgia and Ohio State must know something we don't know.

For that matter, the same could be said for Texas and Tennessee.

The college football powerhouses are all pursuing Maraad Watson, a 6-foot-3, 313-pound interior defensive lineman.

Watson played the 2024 season for Syracuse, and he managed 15 tackles and a single sack.

SI writes that Watson possesses "a blend of power and quickness that makes him a valuable asset in the trenches."

Seems best to believe the likes of Kirby Smart and Ryan Day on this one.

Watson plays a position that isn't a stat-heavy one. He must have mightily impressive film.

Georgia also has a connection to SU. Syracuse head coach Fran Brown was an assistant under Smart, and he may have put in a good word on Watson.

It'll be quite the move up the college football ladder for Watson from an on-the-rise Syracuse to a surefire College Football Playoff contender no matter where he ends up.

Not bad for a defensive lineman from Irvington, New Jersey.
