The Green Bay Packers will have a chance to add some more talent this offseason.
Green Bay is full of exciting, young talent and is coming off a successful season in which it logged 11 wins. The Packers were knocked out of the playoffs early by the Philadelphia Eagles but still are trending in the right direction.
The Packers will need to add some help for the defense this offseason and the NFL Draft arguably will be the easiest way to do so. The Packers could use a boost on the edge and The Athletic's Nick Baumgardner and Scott Dochterman projected that the team will select Marshall game-breaker Mike Green with the No. 23 pick in the draft.
"23. Green Bay Packers: Mike Green, Edge, Marshall," Baumgardner and Dochterman said. "Green was a 215-pound linebacker/tight end when he left high school. Now 6-4, 245, he still moves like a 215-pounder off the edge — and an explosive one, at that. The FBS sacks leader in 2024 with 17, Green is still a bit untested, but his traits are ridiculous and his workouts will draw crowds. Green and Rashan Gary could be electric together."
Green was a superstar in 2024 for Marshall. He logged 17 sacks and and eye-popping 23 tackles for loss in just 13 games played. He's going to be one of the top players selected for the EDGE in the upcoming draft. It absolutely would make sense for the Packers to go after him.
