There's nothing like a good 'ole list of penalties to really spice up the Battle of Ontario.

And in the first game of the Maple Leafs-Senators NHL playoff series, with 43 seconds left in a game Toronto led Ottawa 6-2, hockey fans got to hear one of the longest penalty announcements ever.

The referee had to list 12 separate infractions, most of them roughing after a late-game scuffle.

For those keeping score at home, the Maple Leafs got a high sticking and five roughings, and the Senators got six roughings.

The final sentence might be the most hilarious: "We're going to play 4-on-4."

Good thing, neither team had much left after the long penalty lists.

Reading them off a literal piece of paper adds to how classic this moment is.

Senators fans likely weren't laughing much after a painful night, but Maple Leafs fans? They likely had quite a good chuckle after a brilliant start to their postseason was capped by a goofy list of penalties that really just said their guys had just frustrated the heck out of the team across from them.

Yeah, the rest of this series should be awesome.
