Probably the biggest question heading into next week's NFL draft is where Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders will be taken. He could go as high as the No. 2 pick to the Cleveland Browns, but some feel or even expect him to fall quite a bit lower.

One team with a high draft pick that he has been linked to is the New York Giants, who will be picking at the No. 3 spot. They already signed veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, a 10-time Pro Bowler, and also brought in former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston, but they could use a young potential franchise signal-caller to build around.

Per the New York Post, Sanders will hold a private workout for the Giants, even though they had many representatives at Colorado's pro day earlier this month.

"Sanders will hold a private workout for Giants brass on Thursday in Boulder, Colo., a source confirmed to The Post’s Brian Costello, one week before the first round of the draft as the Giants hold the No. 3 overall pick," wrote Justin Tasch.

Sanders, the son of Hall of Fame cornerback and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, threw for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns while completing 74% of his pass attempts last season. He has demonstrated an ability to be very accurate on short-to-intermediate passes, but plenty still doubt he will make it at the next level.

Some feel he is a boom-or-bust prospect, and others have even said that had he not been born to a former NFL star, no one would be talking about him being a prime draft prospect.

The Giants haven't had a franchise QB since Eli Manning retired in January 2020. Their fans have had to endure several rough seasons in recent years, and they're starving for a true heir apparent to Manning who will make the team a true contender once again.

New York has made the playoffs just twice since winning its most recent Super Bowl championship during the 2011 season.
