On3 CEO shares strong defense of reporter Tennessee QB Nico Iamaleava’s father called a ‘b****’ image

On3’s CEO, Shannon Terry, strongly disagreed with Tennessee QB Nico Iamaleava’s father, Nic, characterizing On3 reporter Peter Nakos as a five-letter synonym of “female dog.”

“(Peter Nakos) is a terrific young reporter who works as hard as anyone. He is the first to arrive and the last to leave, and he puts his name on his work. If being a bold reporter with excellent sources and integrity is the sign of a 'Bi*ch', then please send more my way. We are hiring,” Terry said.

Nic Iamaleava shared a lengthy social media rant tearing down Nakos for reporting Iamaleava’s NIL negotiations with the Volunteers.

“More games being played off the field than on the field. Bi7ch Nakos from On3 Sports called and asked me directly, I told him I had no idea on what he’s talking about,” Nic tweeted. “He said his ‘close source’ that he trusts with his life from the University of Tennessee staff gave him this information. So y’all can ask them what’s going on, cuz it ain’t from us!”

Things are getting ugly between the Long Beach, California native and UT. Could that lead to a potential homecoming for the former Warren star?

CBS Sports’ Will Backus linked Iamaleava to USC in the transfer portal.

“Perhaps somewhere like USC would make sense,” Backus said. “Iamaleava is a product of Downey, California's Warren High School. and plenty of his family still reside on the West Coast. Plus, the Trojans do have something of a quarterback vacancy after Miller Moss transferred to Louisville.”

Iamaleava reportedly wanted over $4 million from Tennessee before the winter portal window closed.

UT officials said they “weren’t going to blink,” according to ESPN’s Chris Low.

We have a good old Rocky Top standoff that may end in a California gold rush for Iamaleava.
