Chelsea are all set for a busy summer transfer window with incomings and outgoings in equal measure on the cards at Stamford Bridge.
One transfer exit that has looked increasingly likely in recent weeks is outcasted attacker Christopher Nkunku.
The Frenchman has hardly featured for the Blues this season and the former RB Leipzig star looks set to be on his way out of the club as son as the window opens.
The move has all but been confirmed by a Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The Bundesliga transfer insider posted on social media that Nkunku 'has decided to leave Chelsea this summer' and there is 'no longer any doubt about it'.
While he is still on the contract he signed on arrival less than two years ago, which runs until 2029, 'talks are ongoing about moving him on'.

Additionally, there’s a strong suspicion Nkunku has played his final minutes for Chelsea already, given he’s not currently being included in matchday squads by Enzo Maresca.
Why Nkunku moving on is the best option for Chelsea
Nkunku is one of the many players at Chelsea who have been given long-term contracts but have struggled for minutes under Maresca.
In such a situation, a move away from Stamford Bridge might be the best option for both the player and the club. The 27-year-old is entering the prime of his career and will be looking for regular playing time at whichever club he chooses to join.

From Chelsea’s point of view, Nkunku should have no shortage of clubs ready to secure his services, despite struggling for game time in the last six months. Additionally, he is not on astronomical wages, and that should help the Blues find a buyer.
