Jets’ wide receiver depth chart needs to add star from 2 possible free agent options image

The New York Jets have one star receiver that you already trust greatly with Garrett Wilson.

Wilson spent much of last season in a receiving partnership with Davante Adams, who was a big-time talent himself.

But Adams is gone to the Rams now, and with Justin Fields in town, the Jets could use another wideout to help support.

The Sporting News' senior NFL writer Vinnie Iyer calls wide receiver the biggest offseason need remaining for Los Angeles.

"The Jets drafted their tight end in Mason Taylor to help Garrett Wilson, but their depth chart is limited for Justin Fields," Iyer writes. "They should look at getting Cooper or Allen, too."

That'd be Amari Cooper and Keenan Allen.

Cooper finished his 2024 with the Bills after a trade from the Browns.

Allen spent much of 2024 dealing with a ankle injury.

They'd both be great weapons for Fields.

Cooper's hand skills are so special that he can be not open whatsoever and still go up and grab the ball out of a defender's face.

Allen has always been a precise route runner who should be frequently open for new QB Justin Fields.

The Jets need to add one of them, according to Iyer. Why not both?
