The Philadelphia Eagles have a plus-90 point differential over their current six-game winning streak, but not everyone has been impressed.
Thursday Night Football commentator Ryan Fitzpatrick expressed concern for the recent play of Jalen Hurts and Philly’s passing game. Former NFL lineman Damien Woody, now an analyst for ESPN, blasted head coach Nick Sirianni in October for his sideline antics following the Browns game. Others believe the Eagles have merely feasted on an easy schedule that, since Week 6, has included three division opponents and just one team with a winning record.

Pete Prisco, an NFL writer for CBSSports.com, is buying into some of that hype. In his Week 12 predictions, he has the Los Angeles Rams upsetting the Eagles by a touchdown on Sunday Night Football. Here was his bold prediction in full:
“The Eagles have righted their issues from earlier in the year to take a hold of the NFC East. But this is a long trip against a good team that can't really afford any more losses. With the Rams offense back on track with the return to health of their receivers, I think they show up here and pull off the upset. Pick: Rams 28, Eagles 21”
Philly heads to SoFi Stadium as a 3-point favorite, per BetMGM, and the long coast-to-coast trip Prisco mentions shouldn’t be too big of a deal. The Eagles are just about fully healthy, they’re coming off a mini bye week after beating the Commanders last Thursday, and SoFi doesn’t exactly qualify as a difficult place to play. The two cities might be 2,700 miles apart, but there still figures to be a large contingent of Eagles fans in L.A. on Sunday night.
The Eagles figure to be a tough matchup for Matthew Stafford and the Rams, since the Eagles have the corners — Quinyon Mitchell, Darius Slay Jr. and Cooper DeJean — to match up with star receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. The Rams are also young on defense and could have a hard time stopping Philly’s dominant rushing attack. The Eagles are averaging close to 200 yards and two touchdowns per game on the ground over their last six games, and the Rams rank middle of the pack (18th) at stopping the run.
This should be a fun one that comes down to key possessions in the fourth quarter, but the scorching-hot Eagles have the edge entering Sunday Night Football.
