The Atlanta Braves didn't make the deep run they wanted to in 2024.

That mainly was because of the fact that the club dealt with a plethora of injuries. The Braves couldn't get healthy and yet somehow they ended up winning 89 games and earning a playoff spot. Atlanta has one of the deepest rosters in baseball and that was proven by the fact it was able to win as many games as it did last year even without stars like Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuña Jr.

If the Braves can stay healthy, they can contend in 2025. We're at a point in the offseason where things have completely slowed down so there isn't too much to talk about. Because of this, FanSided's Steven Teal made a list of five players the Braves should target next offseason and mentioned Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

"It would be a surprise if the Blue Jays don't at least try to bring back Guerrero Jr. as he is the current face of the franchise," Teal said. "However, with the size of MLB contracts being handed out, he may test the market and we know there are certain teams with pocketbooks large enough to make that happen.

"Atlanta hasn't been keen on giving out massive contracts like that but it would be irresponsible of them not to consider him. Now, he'd likely have to accept a DH role since the Braves have first and third base covered for the foreseeable future. This is one of the least likely free agents to make it to Atlanta next year but it's a fun thought."

Guerrero's market value is projected to be $427 million over 12 years right now by Spotrac. It's a fun thought, but we are about nine or 10 months away from thinking about the next offseason.
