Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart has been among the most popular names ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, which is scheduled to begin on April 24.

Dart is widely expected to be a first-round pick later this month. There are some projections that even have him being taken as high as the top-10.

While the hype is rising about the Ole Miss signal caller, there are still some who do not believe in his ability to translate to the NFL level. One of those people is none other than notable talk show host Colin Cowherd.

During a segment of show, "The Herd with Colin Cowherd," he dropped some brutal shade at Dart. Cowherd stated that the Dart hype is just Zach Wilson all over again. Of course, Wilson went on to be a bust after being selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the New York Jets.

Thankfully, Cowherd's opinion is exactly that. Dart will have every chance to prove him wrong and make Cowherd admit that he was wrong.

Looking back at his college production, Dart has shown elite arm talent. He can make the long throw, but he's also accurate and sharp in the short and intermediate game. Dart also possesses enough athletic ability to stretch plays out and make plays on the ground.

During the 2024 college football season with the Rebels, Dart completed 69.3 percent of his pass attempts for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. He racked up 495 yards and three touchdowns on the ground as well.

In the NFL Draft, there is never any kind of guarantee about a prospect. Dart could end up being a bust, but there is a reason the hype has grown around him.

All of that being said, Dart can just wait and see which team drafts him and then get to work on silencing all of the doubters.
