The Los Angeles Chargers continued their offensive theme in the 2025 NFL Draft, finding a big-bodied wide receiver to pair with first-round choice Omarion Hampton.

With the No. 55 overall selection of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers have selected Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris. The team adds an athletic, 6-foot-3 wide receiver who has polished route-running skills to catch passes from Justin Herbert.

Last season, the Chargers found a gem in the draft by selecting Ladd McConkey, but it became painfully obvious during the team's playoff loss to the Houston Texans that the team needed more offensive help. The team seems to be following a plan to make that happen.

In 51 college games, Harris made 220 receptions for 3,532 yards and 29 touchdowns. He began his college career at Louisiana Tech before transferring to Ole Miss ahead of the 2023 season.

In L.A., he will have a chance to contribute immediately for a team that needs more help at wide receiver. Behind McConkey, the team has Mike Williams, Quentin Johnston and Derius Davis. All of those players are capable of making plays, but each of them has left much to be desired in their careers.

Harris gives Herbert a big option at the X-receiver spot who can separate from defenders and use his physicality to make plays down the field.
