Sweet 16 DFS picks for Thursday, March 28, 2024
Here are DFS picks to consider for tonight's Sweet 16 action:
Arizona's Caleb Love 18.5 points: HIGHER
The Wildcats' leading scorer may not be very efficient, shooting 41.8% from the field, but he averages 18.1 PPG. He has scored 18 and 19 points in the first two rounds and took 15+ shots in both games. He will continue to take a lot of attempts, and in what should be a tight contest, he figures to score 20+ points. It may not be pretty, and it may take 20 or more attempts, but we see Love having a high-scoring game. Whether Arizona wins or loses may be decided by how efficient Love is with his attempts.
Clemson's Ian Schieffelin 8.5 rebounds: HIGHER
One of the best rebounders in the country, Schieffelin does a lot of the dirty work for Clemson. Playing against a team like Alabama, which plays quick and takes a lot of deep shots, the rebounding opportunities will be numerous. Expect the Clemson forward to grab ten or more.
San Diego State's Jaedon LeDee 24.5 points: HIGHER
LeDee is the only player for San Diego State to average double-digit scoring. Against UConn who can fill it up and put up a lot of points, LeDee will have to have a huge game for the Aztecs to have any chance to keep it close. The senior forward scored 26 and 32 points in the first two rounds. 24.5 is a high line for most, but LeDee has exceeded it in both NCAA Tournament games and in four of his last five.
North Carolina's Armando Bacot 27.5 points+rebounds: HIGHER
Bacot wants to go out on top after a five-year career in Chapel Hill. His rebounding is a known factor, but his scoring can be up and down. He scored 18 and 20 points in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament and has tallied at least 18 in four consecutive games. Ten rebounds is easy for him, and with tonight's game against Alabama expected to be high scoring, we think Bacot will hit HIGHER on 27.5 points+rebounds comfortably.
Mark Sears 2.5 three-pointers made: HIGHER
Sears is the go-to guy and has the ultimate green light for Alabama. The senior guard has scored 26 and 30 points in the first two rounds, with eight made threes over the two wins for the Crimson Tide. His scoring will be needed for Alabama to have any chance of beating North Carolina. Sears will take 10-plus threes, and it would be surprising if he did not hit at least three of them.
Terrence Shannon Jr. 21.5 points: HIGHER
Shannon Jr. is on the hottest scoring run of any player in college basketball. He averages 23.3 points per game, has scored at least 26 points in the last five games, and has three games with 30+ points. To think he suddenly goes cold seems unlikely.
