The Miami Dolphins have had some big losses in the secondary this offseason with Jevon Holland and Siran Neal signing with other teams and Jordan Poyer and Kendall Fuller unsigned on the market.
They may have signed Ashtyn Davis, Artie Burns and Ifeatu Melifonwu in free agency and selected Jason Marshall Jr. in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft, but the Dolphins could use more help in the back end, especially at cornerback
On Sunday, For the Win's Cory Woodroff identified the Dolphins as a top landing spot for free agent defensive back Rasul Douglas.
Douglas, 30, played collegiately at Nassau Community College from 2012-14 and West Virginia from 2015-16, earning First-team All-Big 12 honors in his final season with the Mountaineers.
The Philadelphia Eagles selected Douglas in the third round (No. 99 overall) of the 2017 NFL draft. After three seasons, the Eagles waived Douglas, and the Carolina Panthers claimed him.
After quick stints with the Las Vegas Raiders, Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals, Douglas spent parts of three seasons (2021-23) with the Green Bay Packers and the last two years with the Buffalo Bills (2023-24).

In his career, Douglas has appeared in 120 games (starting 80) and recorded 441 tackles (23 for a loss), 79 passes defensed, 19 interceptions, three forced fumbles, three fumbles recovered, three quarterback hits and two sacks.
Last year, Douglas started 15 games for the Bills and played 87% of their defensive snaps. He finished the season with 58 tackles, five passes defensed and a forced fumble. Pro Football Focus gave him a 59.2 overall grade, ranking him 132nd out of 222 cornerbacks. He also earned a 58.9 coverage grade (127th) and a 61.0 run-defense grade (61st).
Miami's cornerback depth chart is completely up in the air with Jalen Ramsey on the trade block. If Ramsey is moved, the starters could be Storm Duck, Kader Kohou and Cam Smith. That trio doesn't exactly scare opposing quarterbacks.
Douglas will probably be inexpensive and could play cornerback or safety. If the Dolphins want to keep their secondary from falling off a cliff, they may want to give him a call.
