The divisional round of the 2025 NFL playoffs rolls on with Rams vs. Eagles, the third of four matchups this weekend. This NFC clash is set to kick off Sunday afternoon from Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.
Coming into this game, both defenses are riding high after putting together dominant performances in the wild-card round. The Eagles defense picked off Jordan Love three times last weekend, including a game-sealing INT from rookie Quinyon Mitchell.
On the other side of the ball, the Rams are fresh off a game where they sacked Sam Darnold nine times, tying a single-game playoff record. Another standout rookie, Jared Verse, had a huge impact in this one. Midway through the second quarter, Verse had a 57-yard scoop and score, the first career touchdown for one of the league's most promising pass rushers.

The defenses took the spotlight last week, but this could easily turn into a track meet between two star-studded offenses. The last time these two teams met in Week 12, Saquon Barkley took the game over with over 300 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns. He could do something similar Sunday afternoon, or we could see one of Philly's Pro Bowl receivers explode. With all of the talent in the Philadelphia offense, anything is possible.
The Rams certainly have the firepower to keep up with a potent Eagles offense. With Sean McVay, Matthew Stafford, and Puka Nacua, anything is possible. And that's no shade to Cooper Kupp, though he's been absent for the better part of two months. If Kupp shows up and the Rams can get both of their star receivers going in the same game, Los Angeles could be primed for an upset.
If you're unable to tune into this matchup, Sporting News has you covered with all of the updates and highlights from Rams vs. Eagles.

5:59 p.m. — The Eagles opt to throw the ball on second down. Hurts rolls out for a bootleg, but Kobie Turner is in perfect position and sacks Hurts. That's the Rams' seventh sack tonight. One more stop for the Rams before getting the ball back.

Eagles 28, Rams 22

5:53 p.m. — It's Cooper Kupp this time. He picks up 11 yards and sets the Rams up with 1st & Goal.
5:52 p.m. — Stafford keeps finding his receivers for big gains. An 18-yard hookup with TuTu Atwell has the Rams approaching the red zone.
5:51 p.m. — The Rams are going to need a quick score if they're going to have a chance to come back in this one. They get the drive started on the right foot with a 21-yard gain for Nacua.
Eagles 28, Rams 15
5:47 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — Eerily similar to the Eagles' and Rams' Week 12 matchup, it's a Saquon Barkley home run that puts the game on ice! Barkley breaks through the Rams' defensive line once a gain for a house call. His 78-yard touchdown extends the lead to 13 points! Another missed PAT from Elliott keeps the lead at 13.

5:42 p.m. — The Philadelphia defense has maintained the upper hand throughout the second half. A sack on first down and a pass deflection on third down forces a three-and-out.
5:41 p.m. — With just over six minutes to play, the Rams need to find the endzone rather soon. Let's see if Stafford has something special in his back pocket.
Eagles 22, Rams 15
5:37 p.m. — It's another series of tough sledding for the Philadelphia offense. A couple of short gains brings up 4th & 4. It's just a 37-yard attempt this time and Sirianni is comfortable sending Elliott out there to kick. He nails the field goal to make this a seven-point game.
5:35 p.m. — He's been relatively quiet this afternoon, but A.J. Brown comes up big on fourth down. Hurts finds him on a quick slant to extend the drive.
5:34 p.m. — The Eagles continue to feed Barkley in an effort to bleed the clock. He gets two carries and a checkdown to open the drive, bringing up 4th & 4. Facing a 50-yard field goal, the Eagles are lined up to go for it.
5:31 p.m. FUMBLE — Two quick incompletions brings up yet another third and long. Vic Fangio dials up the pressure and they get there! Nolan Smith gets his hands on Stafford and forces a fumble. Philadelphia takes over once again in Los Angeles territory.

5:30 p.m. — On a crucial third down, Demarcus Robinson takes advantage of some soft coverage from Darius Slay. Stafford finds him for 14 yards and a first down.
5:28 p.m. — After he coughed the ball up, Sean McVay goes right back to Kyren Williams. He gets two straight carries to open up the drive. Williams picks up just one yard, bringing up 3rd & 9.
Eagles 19, Rams 15
5:24 p.m. FIELD GOAL — Even with Hurts' ailing knee, the Eagles opt to go with the Tush Push on 4th & Goal. But a false start on Lane Johnson negates the play. They back the ball up five yards and Nick Sirianni opts to kick the field goal. Elliott knocks it through to extend the lead to four.
5:20 p.m. — Saquon Barkley gets the ball three straight times in this goal-to-go situation. His third-down carry is called a touchdown on the field, but it's under further review. If he's deemed short of the endzone, it'll be 4th & Goal with an inch to go.
5:18 p.m. FUMBLE — The first play of the fourth quarter goes to Kyren Williams. He finds a hole, but Jalen Carter punches it out and the ball is on the ground! The Eagles recover and return it to the Rams' 10-yard line. What a turn of events!

5:11 p.m. SAFETY — The Rams' punt backs the Eagles up deep in their own territory. On second down, Hurts drops back to pass and is immediately met with pressure. There's nothing he can do to shake free and goes down for a safety!

5:07 p.m. — The Rams dial up the perfect play call on third down. Nacua shakes free on an out route, but he can't bring it in. It's a quick punt for the Rams.
Eagles 16, Rams 13
5:01 p.m. FIELD GOAL — Philadelphia didn't attempt to convert on 3rd & 17, instead handing it off to Barkley. His carry sets the Eagles up for a 44-yard field goal. After missing a PAT earlier in the game, Jake Elliott drills this one to put Philadelphia back on top.
4:59 p.m. — An ineligible man downfield penalty wipes out another explosive play from Goedert. After the penalty, Hurts takes yet another sack, bringing up third and long.
4:57 p.m. — The Philadelphia finally finds its footing here in the second half. Dallas Goedert's defender slips, leaving him wide open. Hurts finds the open man for a 31-yard catch and run.
4:53 p.m. — Eagles' starting cornerback Quinyon Mitchell has been ruled out with a shoulder injury.

Rams 13, Eagles 13
4:51 p.m. FIELD GOAL — The Rams can't capitalize on the big plays from Williams an Kupp. They actually lose yardage in this goal-to-go situation and they're forced to kick a field goa. It's disappointing, but we've got a tie game.
4:49 p.m. — Make it back-to-back 30-yard gains for the Rams. It's Kyren Williams this time who rumbles his way inside the 10-yard line on a first-down carry.

4:47 p.m. — The conditions on the field continue to impact the game. The Rams dial up a deep shot for Nacua, but he loses his footing and can't make it to the ball
4:45 p.m. — After suffering a knee injury in the first half, Rams' defensive lineman Braden Fiske has been ruled out.
Rams Injury Update: Braden Fiske (knee) downgraded to out.
— Los Angeles Rams (@RamsNFL) January 19, 2025
4:43 p.m. — It's a similar story for the Eagles. Barkley gets wrapped up behind the line on second down and Brown can't create any separation on third down. It's another three-and-out to begin the half
4:40 p.m. — The snowy conditions have seemed to slow the Rams' offense down already. A couple of sluggish plays lead to a quick three-and-out. Los Angeles still trails by three.
4:38 p.m. — The second half is officially underway. Stafford and company are on the field as they attempt to tie the game or take the lead.
End of first half: Eagles 13, Rams 10
4:23 p.m. — Hurts tries to launch the ball towards the end zone, but he doesn't have enough time to get the pass off. It's Verse yet again, who pulls down Hurts for a second time today. We're off to the halftime break.
4:21 p.m. FUMBLE — Omar Speights gets into the backfield and knocks the ball out of Hurts' hands. The Eagles are able to fall on the ball, but the loss knocks them out of field goal range. They'll have to attempt a Hail Mary to close out the half.
4:19 p.m. — The Philadelphia offense keeps plugging along. After a near miss on a deep ball to Brown, a couple of short gains from Barkley have the Eagles approaching the red zone.
4:16 p.m. — It's Hurts this time who's picking up chunks of yardage on the ground. His 11-yard gain sets Philadelphia up in Los Angeles territory.
4:12 p.m. — It's not Barkley, but the Eagles' RBs are keeping the ball movie. Kenneth Gainwell picks up 20 yards on two carries as we hit the two-minute warning. Philadelphia will have the ball on their own 41-yard line when the game returns from the break.
4:11 p.m. — After the Rams defense forced Philly into 3rd & 14, it appeared they'd be able to get the ball back rather quickly. Well, it's Barkely yet again with a big play, picking up 16 yards on a screen pass. The drive stays alive for the Eagles.
4:05 p.m. — It's third and short and Williams is swallowed up in the backfield yet again! The Eagles' front seven comes up big on another third-down run and send the punting unit out onto the field.
4:03 p.m. — The Rams offense is humming to start this drive. A nice gain from Kyren Williams and a screen to Higbee pick up 28 yards on the first two plays of the drive.
3:59 p.m. — Jared Verse has made his presence felt in this one. The Eagles get caught behind the sticks and 3rd & 8 allows the Rams' pass rush to tee off on Hurts. Verse gets there and sacks Hurts, knocking them out of field goal range. The Eagles are forced to punt it away.
3:57 p.m. — Philadelphia won't stop pounding the rock. After the quick-hitter to Brown, three carries between Barkley and Hurts amounts to 15 rather easy yards.
3:55 p.m. — With the snow coming down, the Eagles are turning to their potent rushing attack. Two carries from Saquon Barkley and bring up third and short. A quick slant to A.J. Brown leads to a conversion for Philadelphia.
Eagles 13, Rams 10
3:49 p.m. FIELD GOAL — After the big play, a holding penalty backs the Rams up and they're unable to recover from the lost yardage. Los Angeles brings out the heavy personnel on 3rd and short, but Williams gets stuffed behind the line, sending the field goal unit onto the field. Joshua Kary drills the 30-yard kick, pulling the Rams within three points.
End of first quarter: Eagles 13, Rams 7
3:45 p.m. — The Rams answer with a home run shot of their own. Stafford connects with DeMarcus Robinson for a 48-yard bomb down the middle of the field as the first quarter comes to a close. If it wasn't for Robinson's aggression, this may have resulted in a pick. Thankfully, he was able to pull it away from the defender.

Eagles 13, Rams 7
3:39 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — The Eagles offensive line parts the Red Sea for Saquon Barkley and he takes it to the house with ease. It's a 62-yard score for Barkley, his fifth touchdown of 60-plus yards this season.

3:37 p.m. — The Eagles are looking to get the ball downfield right away. Hurts loads up and targets DeVonta Smith near midfield. The pass falls incomplete, but a hit to the head and neck area of Smith draws an unnecessary roughness penalty. It's a free 15 yards and a first down for the Eagles.
3:34 p.m. — Another third-down sack forces a punt. This time it's Jalen Carter who gets to Matthew Stafford, picking up a stop for the Philly defense. Hurts and company will get another shot to get into scoring territory.
3:32 p.m. — Mitchell is officially questionable to return with a shoulder injury. It appears he got banged up tackling Stafford on his third-down scramble.
Injury Update: CB Quinyon Mitchell (shoulder) is questionable to return.
— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) January 19, 2025
3:29 p.m. — It's a quick three-and-out for the Philadelphia offense. Rookie Braden Fiske gets to Jalen Hurts and brings him down for a sack on third down. The punting unit takes the field to sent the ball back to the Rams.
3:25 p.m. — Eagles' standout rookie CB Quinyon Mitchell is headed to the medical tent. There's limited information on the injury at this point, but this is a situation to monitor.

3:23 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — After a short run from Williams and an incomplete pass, it's 3rd & Goal from the four-yard line. Stafford hooks up with Higbee on third down yet again, this time for a touchdown. The PAT puts the Rams up one.

3:19 p.m. — It's another explosive pickup for the Los Angeles offense! Stafford finds his No. 1 target, Puka Nacua, on a no-look pass for 17 yards. The Rams are in the red zone on their opening drive.
3:18 p.m. — Kyren Williams get the Rams' offense going. His 20-yard pickup on first down sends Los Angeles into Philadelphia territory.
3:16 p.m. CALL OVERTURNED — After taking a second look at the play, the referees determined that the ball did not hit the ground and Higbee completed the catch. It's a much-needed first down for Los Angeles.
3:14 p.m. CHALLENGE — On 3rd & 7, Stafford goes to his tight end Tyler Higbee. He seemingly hauls it in past the first down marker, but the officials rule the pass incomplete. Sean McVay challenges the call on the field and the officials are taking a closer look.
3:13 p.m. — It's a shaky start for Matthew Stafford. Darius "Big Play" Slay gets his hands on Stafford's first pass of the game, nearly picking it off.
Eagles 6, Rams 0
3:08 p.m. TOUCHDOWN — With all eyes on Barkley, Jalen Hurts keeps it himself on an option play. He finds a hole, sheds a tackle, and takes it to the house on a 44-yard score! Jake Elliot can't finish off the score, missing the extra point to keep the game at 6-0.

2:05 p.m. — After Washington's upset victory over Detroit last night, the stakes for this matchup are much larger. The winner of this one will host the NFC Championship game. When it comes to the playoffs, homefield advantage can make all the difference. Both the Rams and Eagles would certainly prefer to play at home with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.
1:55 p.m. — Jared Verse has officially entered the belly of the beast after antagonizing the entire fan base earlier this week. He isn't shying away from the fans as he gave them a chance to let him know how they felt about him. He also had some words for Eagles players, seemingly referring to the $77,000 each player receives for reaching a conference championship game.
