Bullying works.

As it turns out, a lot of us aren't ready to let "Sinners" go from IMAX 70mm theaters because we haven't gotten a chance to actually get there yet. Originally slated to leave those select theaters this week, the film is getting an extension. Per Variety, the hit movie will once again show in nine select IMAX 70mm theaters across North America, where it will play from May 15 to May 21. The reason for this, according to Warner Bros., is because of the "overwhelming popular and critical response" the movie has gotten.

"Audiences have spoken and we listened. If ever a film needed to be experienced in this incredible larger-than-life format, it’s 'Sinners,'" Warner Bros. Pictures president of global distribution Jeff Goldstein said in a statement captured by the publication. "Ryan has delivered a film that has been embraced by fans who appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into creating a film for this screen-filling format and we wanted to give everyone the opportunity to see it — or see it again — in 70mm IMAX."

At the time of this writing, "Sinners" has grossed $122.5 million in North America and $161.6 million globally. Additional cast members include: Jack O’ Connell, Delroy Lindo, Jayme Lawson, Wunmi Mosaku and more.
