UConn legend Paige Bueckers puts up solid stats in WNBA preseason debut for Dallas Wings image

Paige Bueckers rocked a Dallas Wings uniform in a game for the first time on Friday night.

The UConn legend suited up for the preseason opener against the Las Vegas Aces.

After being the No. 1 pick in the recent WNBA Draft, Bueckers had all eyes on her.

She didn't do anything astounding, but Bueckers was her usual self in 23 minutes of action.

Bueckers' full stat line in her preseason debut:

  • 10 points
  • 4-7 FG
  • 2-3 3FG
  • 4 rebounds
  • 1 assist

The very first bucket for Bueckers was a strong one, driving and finishing high off the glass with her left hand.

As the regular season approaches, Bueckers' minutes should go up. She'll likely play more than 30 minutes per night, which should raise her counting stats accordingly.

She was always going to be a WNBA-ready selection first overall, with her game a relatively easy transition to the pro level.

Now we've finally gotten our first glimpse of Bueckers, the Wings player in the WNBA. There should be plenty more excitement where this first night came from.
