How Sunday’s Week 11 action shook up NFL futures odds

What a difference a week makes when it comes to NFL futures odds.

There's a new Super Bowl favorite in the Detroit Lions, and Buffalo QB Josh Allen is atop NFL MVP betting boards after the Bills defeated the Chiefs in Week 11, 30-21.

Denver QB Bo Nix is BetMGM's biggest OROY liability, and he moved closer to Jayden Daniels on odds boards after a monster game against the Falcons on Sunday.

Let's examine NFL Week 11's impact on these futures betting markets.

Updated 2025 Super Bowl futures

Take a look at updated Super Bowl 59 futures odds at top NFL betting sites:

Lions favored to win Super Bowl for first time in franchise history

The Lions are in uncharted territory after they moved past the Broncos as the betting favorite to win Super Bowl 59. It's the first time Detroit has ever been favored to win the Super Bowl in the 94-year history of the team.

Detroit (9-1 SU, 8-2 ATS) dismantled Jacksonville 52-6 on Sunday. Jared Goff threw for 412 yards and four TDs. David Montgomery and Amon-Ra St. Brown each had two TDs in the blowout win.

Since Dan Campbell took over as head coach, Detroit is 43-18 ATS. Nobody in the league has been better. Detroit also leads the NFL in point differential this season at +159.

At BetMGM, Detroit opened the season at +1200 odds to win Super Bowl 59. Here are updated odds at the "King of Sportsbooks" for the top six favorites as of today, Monday, Nov. 18:

  • Lions +310
  • Chiefs +450
  • Bills +725
  • Ravens +750
  • Eagles +950
  • Steelers +1600

Josh Allen surges to top of NFL MVP odds board

Allen was masterful in Sunday's win over Kansas City. He's now 4-1 SU against Patrick Mahomes in regular-season games. He threw for 262 yards and one TD with one pick, but Allen's legs produced the biggest play of the game.

That was Allen's 58th career rushing TD as a Bill, which moved him past OJ Simpson into sole possession of second place in franchise history. Allen will undoubtedly surpass Thurman Thomas (65) as the all-time leader in due time.

Lamar Jackson was favored to win NFL MVP at most sportsbooks entering Week 11. He was +110 at BetMGM with Allen at +350. Here's a look at updated MVP odds:

Can Bo Nix chase down Jayden Daniels to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year?

Nix had the best game of his young career with 307 passing yards and four TDs in yesterday's 38-6 win over Atlanta. On the season, Nix has thrown for 2,275 yards, 14 TDs and six interceptions. He's also added 295 rushing yards and four TDs on the ground.

Washington QB Jayden Daniels is still a prohibitive favorite to win OROY at BetMGM.

Nix had commanded the highest percentage of tickets heading into Week 11 at 22.7%. Daniels had the highest handle at 21.2%. Nix represents BetMGM's biggest liability in this betting market.

For what it's worth, Nix has four more passing TDs than Daniels (14 vs. 10) and both have rushed for four scores. While Daniels has tossed just three interceptions, TSN's Dan Treacy notes that four of Nix's six picks came in his first two games
