Olympian Simone Biles is the most decorated gymnast of all time, and now she has taken home another award. On Monday, April 21, Biles attended the 2025 Laureus World Sports Awards ceremony, which was held in Madrid, Spain. This event recognizes the world’s best athletes who use their talents for good.
At the ceremony, Biles received her fourth Sportswoman of the Year award. She and tennis star Serena Williams are now tied as the only two female athletes to win this award four times.
Following the ceremony, Biles took to Instagram to share a photo of her stunning outfit from the event. The unique look was put together by Los Angeles-based stylist Monica Rose. Biles wore a strapless dress by the Saudi Arabian fashion designer Eman Alajlan. It included a bodice corset with intricate detailing and a sheer skirt.
She completed the look with black platform heels by Alevi Milano and a clutch by Tyler Ellis.
Fans and friends of the famous gymnast quickly filled the comments section to congratulate her on her record-breaking night.
“I’m so grateful for all you for women's sports, you’re an incredible champion and advocate,” wrote one person.
“So proud 🫶🏽❤️🔥,” wrote Biles’ husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens.
“I won this Award for the first time in 2017, and Laureus has been a part of my story since then, and I share their belief that sport has the power to change the world,” Biles said during her speech at the award ceremony.”
“That might be a little girl watching someone like me on television and deciding she can do it, too. Or it could be the incredible work Laureus Sport for Good has undertaken for the past 25 years, all over the world,” she continued.
