The Dallas Cowboys have not added a pass-catching threat opposite CeeDee Lamb this offseason. Jalen Tolbert is slated to be the No.2 receiver this season.
While Tolbert is a capable receiver, the Cowboys may still want to bolster their receiving corps. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Cowboys are interested in reuniting with Amari Cooper, but there is no guarantee that he will want to return after the Cowboys traded him away.
"There were reports at the time that Cooper was traded, at least in part, because he was unwilling to get the COVID-19 vaccine," wrote Williams. "Beyond that, the Cowboys also framed the move as a salary dump but the numbers never added up to that — it ultimately amounted to a trade that Dallas wanted to make to get rid of the player. Maybe Cooper and the Cowboys can mend fences in that regard and work out a deal. If they don't, however, the Jones family can't go into the season with Jalen Tolbert as the WR2 in this offense."
FanSided's Cody Williams named Jalen McMillan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a pivot option.
"Of course, Tampa doesn't have to deal McMillan, who is entering the second year of his four-year rookie deal," wrote Williams. "That contract and the flexibility to move or not move the receiver could bring a substantial trade price. Yet, for the Cowboys, getting a bonafide WR2 who proved himself as a rookie — 37 catches, 461 yards, eight touchdowns after stepping into a bigger role late in the year — who is under contract cheaply for three more years would be worth quite a bit of draft capital."

McMillan was not thought to be a trade candidate. However, the Buccaneers surprisingly created a crowd in their receiver room by drafting Emeka Egbuka in the first round of the NFL Draft. Now McMillan is fighting for targets with Chris Godwin, Mike Evans and the highly talented Egbuka.
McMillan will not be a free agent until 2028 and could be a legit No.2 option for Dak Prescott. In his final five games, he averaged 63.2 yards per game and scored seven touchdowns.
