It is shaping up to be yet another thrilling tournament, and perhaps even more good fortune is in store for the SEC. An SEC team has won each of the last four tournaments, with Paul Skenes and LSU defeating Florida in the CWS finals last season.
As of the latest D1Baseball.com Top-25 rankings, four SEC teams — Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas A&M, and Arkansas — are ranked within the top five.

NCAA baseball tournament 2024 selection format
The 64 teams are divided into two qualifying groups: at-large selections and automatic bids. The number of automatic bids has varied, contingent on the number of conferences, but there are expected to be 32 automatic bids to this year's tournament; those are rewarded exclusively to conference champions.
Regionals
The field is split into 16 regions; the top 16 seeds, as picked by the selection committee, are awarded a regional to host.
Each region consists of four teams competing in a double-elimination format. Only one team advances out of the region and into the Super Regionals.
Super Regionals
In this stage, the tournament functions similarly to March Madness, with the 16 regionals formatted into a college basketball-style bracket. For instance, the team from the top overall region will square off against the winner of the 16-seed region, and so on.
The higher-seeded team will host the super regional in a best-of-three series.
College World Series
Only eight teams advance to Omaha, where they are split amongst two four-team brackets to compete in a double-elimination format.
One team advances out of each bracket; those two teams will play in a best-of-three series as they vie for the national title.
